Moorestown Rowing Club
The Moorestown Rowing Club’s Boys Light Weight 4 (pictured) took third place in the C Finals at the 2011 U.S. Rowing’s Youth National Championships on Lake Melton in Oak Ridge, Tenn., where 1,500 athletes competed for national titles in 18 boat classes. REAL 10-and-under Soccer Club
This boys select team won back-to-back Mid Atlantic Premier Soccer (MAPS) tournaments, the Rider Cup and Central Jersey Invitational—and it’s only the newly formed team’s second season. REAL is comprised of players from Medford, Marlton, Delran and Voorhees.

Cinnaminson 8U baseball
The Cinnaminson 8-year-olds baseball team went 1-2 in the Cal Ripken Mid Atlantic Regional tournament in Staten Island. The team’s winning game ended with a score of 10-0, in a no-hitter thrown by Owen Ogden, Kyle Robinson and Lukas Burns.

Washington Township High School Varsity Cheerleading
The school’s varsity cheerleading team won first place for Top Game Day Performance at the National Cheerleading Association Cheer Camp this summer. The varsity and junior varsity teams were also invited to attend the National Cheerleading Association Competition in Dallas, Tex., this January.

Tri-State Arsenal Baseball 13U Team, South Jersey
Arsenal’s 13U National League baseball team finished in fourth place out of 31 teams at the USSSA World Series in late July. The team finished with a 6-2 record for the week.

Eighth-grade boys’ basketball, Mount Laurel
At the United States Basketball Association National Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C., this July, Mount Laurel’s eighth-grade boys’ AAU basketball team became the American Division Champions after going undefeated for all seven games.

Tavistock Swim Team, Haddonfield
Tavistock Swim Team broke five records at the Tri-County Championship in July. Jessie Cashman of Haddonfield broke the girls’ ages 15-to-18 fly record from August of 2000 with her time of 30.44. Newcomer David Rowe from Cherry Hill broke the ages 13-to-14 fly and back record, while Charlie Taffet from Haddonfield broke a 1969 15-to-18 individual medley record with a new time of 2:18.86.

Arsenal 10U Baseball Team, South Jersey
The 10U boys’ team completed its 42-4 season by winning the Triple Crown Summer Nationals on July 20 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Arsenal defeated the Wills Park Warriors of Alpharetta, Ga, to win.

St. Joseph’s Prep Boys’ Varsity Rowing Quad
Cherry Hill residents Colin Dabagian and Brian Hecht, and brothers Michael and Sean McGrath of Moorestown, traveled to England to compete in the Fawley Cup at the Royal Henley Regatta on the Thames. The athletes are students at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, making up the boys varsity quad, and were the first crew team in the school’s history to compete in the event.

Moorestown 8U District Baseball
This team’s season ended with a close 6-5 loss in the semi-finals of the Cal Ripken Mid Atlantic Regional tournament, held in Staten Island in July. Led by Coach Adam Gerber, the team entered the regional tournament with a 20-game winning streak after sweeping the district and state championships.

Marlton Lightning Soccer
The 12-and-under girls soccer team recently captured the Premier Division title at the 2011 Marlton Summer Classic Tournament. Team members include Ava Albergo, Cecilia Ghaly, Kelsey Wallace, Jaclyn O’Brien, Sarah Wallace, Brooke McVeigh, Kasey Mansfield, Sarah Weiner, Nina Valenti, Olivia Singer, Julia Kasinski, Gabriella Ciotti, Morgan Westerby, Rebecca Wolf, Kate Deutsch, Rachel Kodluk, Maria Miller and Kaitlyn McVeigh. The team’s trainer is Laura Finley, and coaches are Mark Mansfield, Matt Miller, John Kasinski and Kevin McVeigh.
